The BASEL LOUNGE (above), designed by New York-based furniture designer Matthew Hoey for Panelite, the Basel Lounge is a bright red, improbably thin wave, deceptively strong due to its Cast Polymer honeycomb construction. Supported at only four discreet points connected to a three-legged, stainless-steel base, the graceful wave appears to float above the floor.
