New Materials: Material ConneXion

This year the ICFF hosts Materials Matter, an exhibition of cutting-edge materials and innovative production processes. A joint venture between George Little Management and Material ConneXion®. With resource libraries on three continents containing 4,000 materials, Material ConneXion operates on the belief that creative solutions result from serendipity and cross-pollination. Materials include polymers, glass, ceramics, carbon-based materials, cement-based materials, metals, natural materials, and natural material derivatives. Processes range from injection molding to rapid prototyping and more.

RELATED INFORMATION
Material ConneXion, McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC), and the Environmental Protection Encouragement Agency (EPEA) have joined forces to create a global platform for developing innovative, sustainable, and Cradle to Cradle materials and products.

The goal is to create a sustainable design toolkit: Cradle to Cradle material information, assessment and certification, access to Cradle to Cradle materials, and the tools to develop Cradle to Cradle materials and products.
